Heritage For Myanmar (HFM) introduced the HFM Application two weeks after the Mandalay earthquake of March 28, 2025. The purpose of the application was to systematically collect data on heritage sites damaged by the earthquake and to carry out damage assessments and analytical studies. Since its launch, HFM has been compiling an inventory of affected heritage sites.
On April 17, 2026 (Myanmar New Year’s Day), HFM is pleased to share the findings from this assessment with the public under the title:“Earthquake, Heritage, and Conservation: 28 March 2025, Assessment of Earthquake–Damaged Heritage.”

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to every individual who contributed to this effort.
We also extend our Myanmar New Year wishes for greater public interest and participation in heritage conservation, so that Myanmar’s cultural heritage can be systematically preserved, protected, and sustained for future generations.
